A Near Miss is an incident where no injury occurs, but there is potential for harm. It is also known as a “near hit” or “close call.” Reporting near misses helps identify hazards and prevent accidents before they happen.
Module 3: Why Track Near Misses?
Tracking near misses helps uncover hazards early, providing a proactive way to prevent accidents. It acts as a leading indicator for safety, boosts worker engagement, and contributes to building a strong Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) culture.
Module 4: Encouraging Near Miss Reporting
Encourage reporting by creating a culture of care, trust, and prevention. Key practices include employee empowerment, training, a no-blame culture, offering incentives, and making the reporting process simple.
Module 5: NM Reporting Process
The Near Miss Reporting process involves five steps:

Intervene to solve the problem.

Review and monitor WSH practices.
Module 6: Example Scenarios & Activity
